Your point about the 'campaigners' being often the guilty one is VERY true. A local scheme was run in Cambridge and was then stopped becasue MOST of the people caught by the likes of me LIVED in the village where the traps were!

Secondly, the Police came to our local school to explain about speed guns and they went out with the kids to 'play' with the guns at the end of the day. Unfortunately, the BIGGEST speeding group (mother in 4 wheel drive monsters) were coming to collect their kids at the time and one kid had the interesting example of saying "Look, Mr Policeman; the speed gun shows that car is doing 45 (in a 30)..... oh..... it's mummy......."

This week, I finally got agreement from the police to put 3 REAL speed-gun patrols per month in our village. How ironic will THAT be if they catch ME! You may watch and pray! I WILL tell you if they do!
