Let's look at that!
1) I am VOTED into my position on the BASIS of trying to do many things, one of which was to help control speeding.
2) In the last 15 years, around 12 people have DIED on the the same piece of road over a distance of about 3 miles.
3) The number of SERIOUS injuries hasn't even been counted!
4) On Saturday, some bright spark (possibly YOU) managed to crash into our War Memorial on that road on a STRAIGHT ROAD with single corner. It was in a 30mph limit and the estimate from the police from the skid marks UP to the War Memorial comes out at between 50 and SIXTY MPH. He hit the LIT, THIRTY FEET WIDE War Memorial SO hard that he SPLIT THE BLOCK on his steel engined car! Children wait for their school bus at that point.
5) Two famlies have lost children on this piece of road in the past 20 years, at least one of which has been put down to EXCESS speed (and in excess of the speed limit).
6) I am NOT a selfish bloke and I am willing to give MY time to work for what I PROMISED my electorate that I WOULD do! In our society, those of us who actually DO do what they promised are the ones who GET THINGS CHANGED.
7) Those people like YOU who WHINE about things but won't DO anything to help (because you are to LAZY and FECKLESS to HELP YOUR SOCIETY.....) D*O*N*'*T!
.... and you conclude that it's ME that's the sad one......
Thinking people actually CAN tell who the REALLY 'sad' one is!
