Can you also 'understand' that, if you are stupid enough to let us identify him, he will ALSO be in a position to issue a COUNTER claim of Slander (Libel? I can never remember which is which)? Mentioning 'Wisbech, trailer, ebay' may WELL be enough to count as 'identify'! All he'd need to show is that someone else had withdrawn from the sale BECAUSE of this thread!

Rememeber to beat him on a counter claim you'd need to PROVE that he 'STOLE' your money, as you claimed! I don't mean 'show' that you lost your deposit, I mean you'd need to P*R*O*V*E he S*T*O*L*E it (your word, not mine.....)!

So long as you can be CERTAIN you can do that.... you'll be quite safe.....

Rather you than me.... however!
