Well... here's a tifosi who doesn't shy away from controversy!
So what if they had a Veto? Maybe it was for the same reason Britain has a Veto on certain matters in Europe? To protect the fact that SHE is a contributer to the EU economy rather than a "taker"?
For the same reason I might have negotiated the same if I was Enzo or his successors. To prevent part time F1 teams coming in and changing the sport as and when it suits them? Lets not forget that Ferrari exist only FOR, and ARE the biggest spender IN the world of Motorsport, bar none! And has been so for some 50 years. Whereas others have come and gone, Ferrari have stuck to it even when they had no success!
Where are they now: Lotus, Ford, Jaguar, Renault, Stewart, Lola, Minardi etc. etc.?
You all seem to have jumped on the "Spending Cap" bandwagon for some reason or other, as if this recession somehow HAS TO include everything and everyone. Let's not forget that money not spent in F1 and other Formulae means JOBS that will have to go, because the money IS being spent on jobs, it doesn't just fly in the wind!
Take this home with you while you're at it: I for one, even as a tifosi do enjoy the fact we don't get it our own way any more, yes it was boring being at the front and winning all the time. It made winning with a boring driver rather boring indeed. Then we got another even more dull driver to replace him after retirement, so a bit of an own goal there. Good riddance when he takes his Vodka bottles elsewhere.
But, and here's the big BUT: What Max and Bernie are doing now is destroying F1! They are trying to re-invent the wheel. For the last few seasons they have introduced radical changes to the rules, all disguised under the "Safety" banner. It's all rubbish. If the two idiots at the top had instead listened to the Teams before implementing rules maybe long standing teams like Ferrari wouldn't feel the need to "insist" on the right to veto when things go too far!
Just pause a little bit and think past your hatred of Ferrari and realise what's really happening with the sport that you all love to watch!
My Granddad once told me: be a lover not a hater, it'll make you a better person!
