been a pet hate of mine for years, you check in and they only put your suitcase on the scales........then inform you;
"your baggage is 1.5 kgs over and need to pay, you need to pay because every extra kg costs more fuel"
and then guy behind you looks like he has a season ticket for "Kant Find the Chicken" and uses it, steps up with a carrier bag and doesnt get charged
now hang on i am a 75kg normal bmi male with 1.5 kg over weight bag, kfc man is the wrong side of 150 kgs but no charge
the only fair way is to put passenger and bag on the scales, and charge any extra on the total
seems i am not alone, ryanair customers think the same
http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/news.php?yr=09&month=apr&story=gen-en-140409
but have not gone far enough, set the limit at standard bmi plus baggage allowance then charge the ones over and give discount to the ones under, amy whorehouse could travel free for years looking at her and the clothes she doesnt wear.......bonus for us in the uk
