Poor post Ian
Sadly think you haven’t read the thread and just posted, but thanks for posting
My point view is I want all aspects of road safety improved and believe cameras do little and to some road users promote the fact they will not get caught, right or wrong the perception is there is less traffic cops, the only people that address all road safety issues, flood the roads with them and the streets with cops
You don’t know what the taxpayer will be happy to pay for, 2012 five ring circus, bailing out banks, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, 2nd homes for mps when it would be cheaper for us tax payers to just rent a hotel for them to all stop in when they have to stop in London……..you don’t know, but in a hard times we should question every penny spent of our taxes
Simple poll, should our taxes be spent on
2012 Wars abroad 2nd homes for mps extra funding for the police to make our streets and roads safer
only rule is you can tick only one box, yes it would be nice to split the budget into percentages but its 1st past the post, harsh but that is the system and the majority decide
Ian, bit lacking in your “previous post research” never backed speeding on the road……..and posted before that track days are the cheaper way to get you kicks, but we are all human and mistakes happen
Have given you a get out clause (….not the Santa kind, I do believe in him…..he makes kids smile) show me the figures that the traffic cop numbers have not reduced since the use of remote cameras then my issue is not with the cameras it is with reduced funding of a vital service
Happy posting and try not to let “grumpy” use the keyboard, he could put people of posting and that’s what this place is for, not going to change the world but can rant about what has wound US up
