I don't think you understand the meaning of the WORD 'democracy'. It does NOT prescribe 'first past the post', 'proportinal representation', 'givt. by works committees', 'delegation' and/or 'govt. by referenda' or any OTHER 'voting system'. It can contain ALL of those systems. Democracy is 'rule by the people'. We chose the 'first past the post system' simply because it WORKS!

If you WANT 'referenda' or 'govt. by delegation', then go out and WORK for it. STAND for something... some of us DO! Why not YOU?
