I suppose you'd like to shoot Santa, too!

So WHAT that YOU had yo give up a day to look after Y*O*U*R children! Schools are NOT a baby sitting service for YOUR KIDS!

Personally, I am still young enough to remember the utter JOY of being a school kid on a snowy day! Not only did it mean school was cancelled but it meant I could go out WITH MY DAD and have that rare set of moments with Dad and Son having the sheer JOY of sledging and throwing snowballs and LAUGHING!

I sat around yesterday with NO kids around me and the best I could manage was to throw a few snowballs with the neighbours kids! Christ! How I wished MY two were still living at home and I had had the chance to go sledging with them!

Face it.... your kids are on SHORT TERM LOAN! They will be GONE when you next look round... and if you are ANY sort of Dad, you'll MISS them when they've no time to see YOU.

Enjoy the days in the snow with your KIDS! And give THANKS to the teachers for the chance!

Let's hope it snows for a WEEK and ALL work is cancelled!
