You fail to grasp the DEPTH of the misunderstanding, here!

You state: "Global warming is happening, that cannot be disputed, it is a measurable fact"

Wrong on THREE counts, according to quite a few people here: RoadRat and Singers to name but TWO!

Neither of them believe it and it is therefore logical to assume that MANY more than just THOSE TWO think the same!

You come up with a way of DEALING with those two and I'll join you. Remember, it's more peculiar than you think:

Singers believes that we are BOTH in Global COOLING..... and ..... at the SAME TIME.... any warming is caused by all SORTS of wierd things, and I'll quote just THREE that he has suggested so far...

* Phillip Pullman's Dark Materials trilogy
* The axis of the earth moving by a HUGE amount within three years
* that we are moving closer to another star in our galaxy

...... errrrr ......yesssss....

RoadRat is a DIFFERENT matter! He states that NO amount of scientific reports or studies will EVER convince him. So.... how do you propose we use EVIDENCE to persuade HIM? Of course, he leaves open all the BLATANT concepts that, if we can't trust EVIDENCE, how can he tell that we are NOT 'Global Warming'......

You are sugesting quite LOGICAL (but wrong) arguments that we COULD discuss..... however, we are NOT O*N*L*Y dealing with 'logical' people, here!

The only other choice is to treat them like silly school kids and IGNORE them but then they just go an post MORE TRIPE which seems to CONVINCE other people! The level of ignoranbce is STAGGERING and the people who seem to want to BELIEVE stuff that you and I can see is UTTER TRIPE is also a shock! All I can do is to make it BLATANT that their ideas are LAUGHABLE! That should put others off...... I hope!
