Interesting. The gauge check is fine, 0.005" between the gauge and head, and both the valve recesses are well within range. Not sure if .005 is worth skimming any further. The engine is a named SP so probably fairly good anyway.

Just wanted to try the head volume just to check things overall. I'm was just going to use isopropyl alcohol and food colouring for the fluid, should run a bit better in to the nooks and crannies. Heads off so just a bit of perspex over to seal, basically the usual way of measuring it. I'll give it a go just for the experience I think.
