Without actually diagnosing your problem, the black plastic jet assembly under the throttle screw is the idle jet. Check this is not blocked by poking a fine wire (wire brush bristle or 1 strand of throttle cable,) through the small (0.4 mm. approx) hole in the bottom of the plastic. Check the rubber O ring is in place in the bottom groove. To remove the brass main jet, undo and remove the float bowl retaining screw. The main jet is higher up the same bore but is of slightly smaller diameter. Find a decent flat bladed screwdriver as the jet may be tight and is easily damaged. Once the jet is out and checked, the emulsion tube above it will drop out with or without a gentle push from the carb bore. Please give feedback on results to help others as this seems to be going 'out of fashion'.
