Without opening up a can of worms over cheating etc! What is the horsepower that you should expect from an average engine and a "good" one.

I appreciate that some dyno figures can be manipulated but I keep heating all kinds of different powers that I'm confused with it all.

Also generally where is powerband on them in terms of the rev range?
