Flywheel is now off and the woodruff key is out. I am assuming you just file down the key until you get to the right position as indicated by the gauge - a bit of trial and error. I assume the fact that the key is now smaller than the slot in the flywheel doesn't cause any issues.
As always, any guidance would be appreciated.
