have your exhausts been debaffled ?
if not it may be that a piece of exh baffle has broken up and dropped into eng via exh valve.
the first time this happened to me i was convinced it was the big end bearing
the second time i encountered it i knew what it was straight away
take your exh off and shake it to see if it rattles?
if so remove your cyl head and check for any debris in bore/or on top of piston ?
