You have done most of the typical mods.

You say you have skimmed the 'piston head' which I am taking to mean the cylinder head but you don't say by how much - Personally I would have left the head standard and just fitted the GX200
head gasket at this stage untill you have more experience of the engines.Don't forget if you are running a very high CR you will need to use super unleaded to prevent detonation problems.
I presume you are fitting new rings with the flat-top piston so spend some time making sure they are positioned right in the bore when fitting the piston - a lot of power can be lost throught badly fitted rings.
The 8 degree advance key should help the ignition at mid-full revs - the advance allows the spark to start earlier on the compression stroke at high revs so provoking a more efficient flame spread and burning of the fuel/air charge.
Another good mod is to fit a GX200 cam which will give the GX160 more torque (It fits straight in without any modifications).
You should feel a lot of difference between a std race prepared engine and a fully modified one as detailed in your thread.
