Teeside prokart sprint series starts next weekend (17th March) heres the details of anyone interested, its a great track and good value for money, well worth a visit.
Assuming all is the same for 2013 these are the major details taken from the current website on 9/3/13 (which were written for 2012).
Entry fees for each meeting is £35
Pro Karts will receive an extra practice session followed by 4 heats of 10 laps followed by a 15 lap final. The number of laps may be reduced in certain circumstances such as bad weather.
Pro Karts have a minimum weight limit of 180kg and must run Bridgestone YDS tyres in both wet and dry conditions.
The Teesside Karting Sprint Championship will be held in March over 8 rounds through to October with 6 rounds to count. All drivers are to provide their own TranX 160 or 260 transponder. There MAY be transponders for hire at the circuit at a cost of £10. Trophies will be awarded at the end of each meeting for the top 3 places in the final.
Championship prizes will be as follows per class. First place - free entry to all Championship rounds in 2013. Second place - Free entry to 3 Championship rounds in 2013. Third place - Free entry to 1 round in 2013.
All technical regulations are to mirror the MSA current kart yearbook regarding engine, tyre and weight restrictions. Pro Karts will now use Bridgestone YDS tyres. technical regulations for the Honda GX160 Pro Kart engine can be found at www.abkc.org.uk.
