i did raise these with various bodies over a year ago, not at W/L as i don't race there. When you have someone entering as a clubman with what is effectively a works kart and a couple of motors that could run at the front in cadet Super1 something is wrong.
tbh if people are under the illusion that prokarting is cheap they are very much mistaken, sprint or endurance in a Rotax isn't a great deal more.
i don't disagree that money talks in motorsport but it isn't hard to make a class that doesn't need the constant spending, so what if you loose a few people who have spent over the odds on engines, i suspect you may well find you gain more than you loose. Racers want believe that they have an equal chance of winning with having to get their cheque book out, that (along with a couple of other reasons) is why Club100 does so well.
