Sorry for the negative post but bridgestones from what I have found been used at Teesside is not the answer. Firstly there is a significant difference between 1 meeting old and brand new tyres and most of the fastest laps are on the last lap with bridgestones (commonly regarded as a better endurance tyre than a Dunlop) or they have been at Teesside which changed for 2012’s season to attract more drivers however this did not happen.
As there is a significant difference between used and old which was not so apparent with Dunlops I would imagine that as a minimum 3 sets will be required during the season to remain competitive with those that replace them every meeting and even so will still be on the back foot compared to those with brand new for each round. With Dunlops 2 sets would have been more than sufficient for an entire season.
I think there needs to be two classes to attract more drivers on the days where it is so easy to stay in bed i.e. cold and wet days. If drivers are fighting for a championship they will make the extra effort whereas if they know they don't stand a chance they will turn over and do something else.
My own personal opinion is that if I were too race is, the budget required to use bridgestones would be more than that which would be required for Dunlops based on last year’s weather. On days where the weather is bad the relatively new drivers and mid grid drivers may well not bother turning up as they have nothing to fight for.
