Frankly, I’m not keen on posting on these forums due mainly to all the bitching, insults and general nastiness. It’s a poor ‘advert’ for karting; one that – you would think – the sport can ill afford. Certainly parents should see that their children avoid this place (although, given the 'technology', I suppose they do that anyway).
So here BFD has issued a blanket condemnation of the racing at Lydd, including the unexplained allegation of “if your face does not fit!”. When was that, then?
Well, we only join the Lydd race meetings once or twice a year, but did so this past weekend and had a great time. One would think that, if there were a "if your face does not fit" attitude, we should have been on the receiving end of it, too, because we are not exactly regulars. Far from it, however.
I applaud the spirit in which these meetings are run; all the staff were very friendly and helpful, clearly putting an awful lot of effort into making sure that everyone has a good time. As far I could see, they very much succeeded.
However, no-one needs to or should take either BFD’s or my words on this: just go and see for yourself – pretty simple, really.
If there are any Lydd Karting staff reading this: Thank You!
