Don't get the sp side of things

Most of the grid seems to have sp motors, I know one family that has 3 of them

How can there be so many selected / special parts ?

Surly if most people use sp they are not selected / special parts, it's just a standard motor?

It's like Turing up at a track and saying you have a very special kart, everything selected, tuned, sorted and on the money

O'H but hang on 70% of the grid also has the same, if that's the case its not special or selected its just the norm

Maybe it's just the way the builder assembles them, runs them on etc is the main difference?
