Having been at the hospital with my Honda cadet son having had his kart land on him twice I'm told (I was looking elsewhere for someone else's Dad from an earlier crash when my son flipped) I wouldn't like additional weight to be added.
Not sure how it will end up, but I don't think additinal mass should be added given that it sometimes lands on the driver.
