Ok I've started a new thread with the correct title. As there seems to be an interest, would anyone like to voice there opinions on here so Kelvin can see what people think and give some feedback.
I will start off and put an idea forward based around what I know about the buyback scheme.
Drivers at the end of the meeting can 'exchange' engines, rather than buy the nominated drivers engines. This I feel would be better as everyone still goes home with a pair of engines. The engines are exchanged with a servicing fee (price to be determined). This is to prevent people simply exchanging just because there engines are ready for a service. It could also have a clause such as you can only exchange with drivers that finish within 5 places after final race. This would prevent drivers exchanging a very poorly maintained engine for a very good one, bear in mind that if a driver were to try and do that he/she would have had to have raced all day with it.
The above idea I feel may be better than simply buying someones engines as they then have to source new ones before the next event. Also the service fee would be lower than an outright buy. If anyone would like to comment or add to it?
Kelvin, with the existing buyback would you decide who gets the 1st choice if more than one person asks for the engines?
Cheers Andy.
