Best bit of advice is find someone who knows about prokarts, maybe a local team like lard sudgested and ask them their opinion on what to buy, and for instance if u find a kart that looks fairly tidy, get their advice, it will save u a leap into the un known and save wasting your money on expensive sheds. There are some good tidy and cheap karts around at the moment. Id recommend a MK2 7kart, old but still as fast as the day they were born (they do get better with age) anything even as old as 2003 MK2 will be perfectly fine, but like with any chassis it HAS to be straight, i have seen a few MK2 rolling chassis for anything from 750-1000. That should leave u with a good chunk of money to buy some good engines
Good luck and have fun
