just in case you want to diy... tools needed: 12mm socket for side casing bolts, pistol drill 6.8mm drill m8 taps (a set of three) tap wrench oil
method: # identify the crankcase casting for the pulse connection(ask if not sure) # drain oil # remove side case bolts # remove side case, taking care not to damage joint or joint face # rotate the crankshaft so it is as far away from the work area as possible # stuff a rag into the crankcase to cover the crankshaft and catch the swarf caused by drilling and tapping # drill the crankcase casting with the 6.8mm drill # identify the 1st tap (it has the shallowest taper and least threads, so it starts easily in the hole) # place the 1st tap in tap wrench and dip in oil to make the work easier and a better thread. # turn the tap wrench clockwise, while applying light downward pressure. The tap will screw itself downwards and into the hole. # occasionally stop turning and turn it slightly anti clockwise to keep the channels of the tap clean of swarf. # if the tap goes tight then reverse rotation to free it and continue once again. # continue tapping the hole until the thread of the tap dissapears inside the hole. # reverse the direction of turning and remove the tap. # swap the tap for the final tap and repeat the oiling and tapping. # remove the tap and try the pulse fitting in the hole. (the pulse fitting should have a tapered thread and come to a stop when it is tight. Do not overtighten the pulse fitting. # remove the rag carefully from the crankcase, watching for any swarf and removing any cuttings immediately. # fit the pulse fitting with a threadlock loctite. # refit side casing and refill with engine oil to the correct level.
