I doubt it, the tooling is completely different. The old GX tooling was ripped out and a whole new plant has been build for the 'IGX' style engine in Japan, but it didn't work initially, which is why many engines were virtually unobtainable this year.

The engines from Thailand are still the same so I imagine these will remain so for some time, in any case the old style engine is still being made under licence in China as well and imported as 'greys' into the UK.
