I have not spoken to John about this, but on behalf of the TV production side I have already done some testing of the cameras, although not on a kart yet. I will do this shortly and discuss with John about the best positions for the angle of view. It will probably be mounted on the nassau panel somewhere if you want to front mount it, and the rear of the seat for rear facing views. The brackets supplied with the cameras are excellent, but as they only have a stick on tab, albeit with strong adhesive, I want to have a look at additional support, maybe drilling the bracket to apply a countersunk bolt and nut. The cameras come with a full waterproof housing which holds the camera in place, which is superb. The housing has two backs, one fully enclosed, and a part enclosed back plate for "speeds less than 100mph". This apparently offers better sound quality. The part enclosed plate is probably the one to use for karting, but I want to check if the fully enclosed back plate will give us acceptable sound quality, as it would be easier to just use the one fully enclosed plate, for good or bad weather.
Either way, you will love the ease of use and pictures you will get. It's a great piece of kit.
