I repair lawnmower engines in the summer, rebuilt 15 last year, 13 were Briggs & Stratton. Very weak in the con-rod, most die with a hole in the side where the con-rod tries to escapes :)
Heard one story of a field of 20, 5 of which dies in this manner, IN ONE RACE.
So far they aren't getting any better :(
