When i bought my 7kart mk1, it had a standard KC manual ajusting system on, i was taken in by all the self ajusting and floating systems, i couldnt afford a Kelgate, and to be fair even if i could i wouldnt because you can spend that money else where and get better results. I went for the inbetween option, the MX system. But could not get on with that, and to be fair its cost me plenty but couldnt get it to my liking. I only do sprint so was told to get back to the KC system. So i worked on the KC standard system and tested different pads and discs and got it working superb, you can set the pads away where you want them, keep the pistons clean and it is a brilliant sprint brake, the kelgate is an endurance brake. Last time i was out with my 7kart with the Kc brake this season at PF i got fastest lap in the final on a grid thats full of kelgates, i have also got pole a few times and a win this year. It looks basic and boring but it works, what more could you want?
