Others may not agree with this BUT seeing as you asked here is my opinion for you : Yes the T8 is a good choice , forget stiffness standard will be fine . If you wear a rib protector then dont get a fully covered as you are wearing padding already and its an expence you dont need also when it rains the carpet on the seat holds the water for ages afterwards , look at either 1/4 covered or uncovered ( my prefered choice ) . As for position then yes position does make a difference but not so much on a Prokart , be comfy , after all if your in a 3 or 6 hour enduro comfort will become a factor for your race pace . Make sure the engines can move at least 20-30mm to allow sprocket variations or you end up with loads of chains for specific sprockets which is time consuming to change . You may have to remove some of the seat front lip to avoid a centre tank if you have one , lastly dont mount the seat lower than the bottom of the chassis tubes .
