There are always some "big motors" out there, but more likely whats happening this summer is the track is hotter than ever and your kart is not releasing off the corners as its bound up with too much grip, and the people that know what they are doing with chassis set-up have overcome this, and everyone else looks at them as having "big motors"......its just not the case
This happened to us all day saturday and sunday at Bayford, and we were losing 0.3-0.4 secs per lap to the front runners, but we still finished 2nd in the final!
So overall my point being, pay more attention to getting your chassis to release off the corners, just throwing more sprocket teeth at it, is not the solution
but I will admit you do have a point, this year its the worse its ever been for "big motors".....prey to god the V13 regs will fix the situation.
