"Knighty" - as you say you are an Engine builder I find it odd that you continually say that others must be cheating. It sounds like one of two things to me... either you can't build a good engine or your driver can't show how good your engines are.
I think it would be good that until you have some facts and can prove that others are illegal (at which point there should be exclusions to show it) that you start acting like a professional and stop spreading rumours and discrediting your fellow engine builders.
Your son has done well in clubman racing, put him in your local cadet racing and if he continues to do well.... you too will then look to compete at the next level, which will involve travelling a little further than you have so far.
Your views are simplistic and in most cases very wrong, once you have done a little more than Bayford and Buckmore clubman and had the experiences of some of us who are out every weekend and travel all over the county, your views might become a little more accurate.
To start with I would suggest you start competing at PFI, if you do I look forward to seeing how your engines perform.
