If the bumper height above the ground is within the regs then I can't see a problem.

It's not unusual for a chassis to have changes introduced but stay within the homologation.

I remember the Mamba chassis got changed almost monthly with brake positions, side pod fixing mounts, pedal positions etc. It even had longitudal torsion bars fitted to the side rails without scrutineering problems. Just the basic bends and major tubes never changed.
