I've fitted billet conrods to my engines which I'm running in this week using the Joe Gibbs running in oil.

For race use the instructions say to use a 'medium weight' oil, does anyone have any recommendations? I was presuming medium would mean something around 15-40w...

Instructions also say to polish the crank journal but the aftermarket cranks I have only have machine finish but would have thought that may help retain oil at that point.
