Hi again Kelvin, I have done a bit of digging into this myself.

The current coil part number is 30500-Z0T-802

The new coil part number is H30500-Z0T-003

According to this Honda-parts link

The new coil is only unique to the SMXC type of T2.....according to your rules, the SMXC is not listed therefore the new coil is illegal.....please correct me if I am missing something? perhaps I am?

But I have reason to believe this is the new ignition coil, and we are all talking about one and the same thing, as it needs a new angle tool, as the flanks are a different shape, as the lamination's are a different shape, the electromagnetic performance will be different for this new coil, hence explaining why its a tad more powerful.
