Hello. We have a Honda GX160 cadet. It's just been away for a service and yesterday was our first day out on it. Sadly the throttle was sticking yesterday. We've never had it before. I sprayed WD40 down the cable sleeve and manipulated the cable back and forth. The cable action seemed fine though, very smooth. I will replace the cable inner and outer anyway. The linkage at the engine end also seemed normal though. Opening just fine by the 'hand throttle', return spring on, working OK. Return spring also on pedal end.
I just wondered if anybody else had any experience of sticking throttle on Honda GX engines? I'll renew the cable and lubricate everything, check springs, linkage, etc and hopefully that will sort it but I wondered if there is some other magic solution? Thanks
