hmmm.....for my best Honda engine I did pay a sobering amount for it, but not as much as some, but that does not mean to say I have "deep pockets", far from it, our kart and the vast majority of my equipment is second-hand, my trailer is a piece of junk, we dont have custom overalls or a painted helmet, and my tow-car is 12 years old.....I just spent the money where there is a performance gain, but its not a right of passage, we are still towards the back-middle of the grid!!!

the situation with honda-cadet engine prices is nowhere near as bad as whats been happening in Rotax for many many years.....the most expensive Honda I heard of changed hands last year for Ł4500......the most expensive rotax I heard of was Ł15,000, I dare say others are more expensive.

People are fiddling with the GX200's to find gains and keeping them well hidden until the time is right, particularly in pro-karts.
