It's going to take a while getting your driving up to speed: you just have to face it, it's going to be many hundreds of laps. All that while, you engines and chassis will be deteriorating.

So... you can spend good money making your engines faster and knackering them while you learn before you can use their slightly higher power. Please note, the tuning power increase is actually small BUT.... over a (for example) 3 hour race, that minute extra performance WILL make all the difference.

Or, you can use your tired engines learning to get every bit of speed that you can from your driving and then, when you have learned to how to drive AND to make the chassis handle the way you want: then buy your new power WHEN you can use it.

For me, it's a no-brainer!
