I would be happy to help but we're all the way down in Rochester. My other half lives in Leicester but i won't be up that way for another month or two i'm afraid. I've got a guide on how to rebuild the engines that i could possibly scan in a send over to you if thats any help?
One thing to remember is they're a long bolt engine, meaning the head bolts/studs go all the way down to the sump. So as soon as you undo the 6 head nuts, it all has to be re sealed again. There is only 2 gaskets in the whole engine, the headgasket and the exhaust gasket. So the rest of it is 'sealed' with special sealing compound that's readily available at motor factors.
To get to the crank seals you really do have to dismantle the whole engine. Not to mention in doing so you are removing the seal so the engine will then become illegal to race in an Biland affiliated classes...
So to replace the crank seals you need to replace the headgasket also, and it escapes me at the moment, but if the waterpump and oil pumps come off then best to replace the seals in them too.
Hope this helps, Thomas.......................
