Graeme, you mention the entry fee but overlook the fact that megabuck 160s became doorstops...
If, as you would have us believe, people can just write off their 160s and purchase a pair of sealed 200s, with associated return to dealer servicing, surely the entry fee is not a big deal???
When you criticise the circuit owner, as others do as well I hear, can't you see that grids of less than ten karts is not going to make him enough money to justify running prokarts.
Sort out the engine fiasco and build the grid!
If you have followed the rotax sealed engine rise and fall you may have had a glimpse of what a monopoly and sealed engine can do to budgets and grid numbers.
Faced with a decent size grid may sway any circuit owner. Asking him, or any other organiser, to wait while a grid stutters is going to test anyone's commitment to supporting owner driver series.
