Yup we all know Jason, and yup, we all know he's a nutter haha but he's fast when the thing works so once he's got some reliable kit he'll be up the front.
My Biland is a bit different. Its unsealed, not by choice it just came unsealed and i've never bothered to have it re-sealed, as it would fail anyway. I will probably have it rebuilt by saxon once with the proposal of watching it happen so i can further rebuild it myself in the future.
I've got a single 30mm Dellorto PHF carb mounted to a special inlet manifold on mine, a slightly special 'slipper clutch' with thicker clutch linings and its been re-weighted to lock up at a higher RPM, and a European spec exhaust system, with a 2-into-1 collector just behind the seat that allows you to tune for either torque low down or top end power. The European spec exhaust is rather large bore, its so big i could literally slot the old system inside it with ease. These tuning parts were supplied by a guy called Stephan Osinga in the Netherlands, a company called BeNeDu Racing.

I'm currently sorting out a wider cambelt kit for it too, the original is 11mm wide, my new kit is 25mm wide. It might be a bit OTT so if i do it again i'll probably go down to about 20mm. All the pulleys, tensioners etc are made i just need to fit it to the kart and sort out a few things like the cambelt cover needing widening. The few bilands on ebay at the moment seem pretty good, one thing i've noticed is 2 of them have the endurance oil tank on them which is something i'm looking into getting for my one. The chassis' themselves i can't speak much of. 2 of the engines are the older design made by SwissAuto ('SA' cast on the cam cover), 1 of them has the later engine, like mine, made by a company called Hoeckle (polished/smoothed cam cover) with a few extras built in, oil squirters on the camshaft, 2 rings on the pistons instead of 3, a thicker cylinder head base to prevent warping amongst a few other things. The older engines perform just as well as the newer ones, just the possibility of upgrading some of the parts is there :)
