It's the same in all forms of motorsport the engine builders and large teams and wealthy individuals study the rules and they find ways of bending then hopefully without breaking them or getting caught but this is why governing bobbies have to stay on there toes and keep updating the regs so to try and keep it a level playing field well as level as it can be. My interpretation is that u weren't aloud stepped key ways but some have advanced the timing by cutting a new key way in the fly wheel this was hard to spot but it has been spotted and now the regs will change to stop these people gaining an unfair advantage. The engines in question will still be good engines just not great as they have been this year. And those of us with good legal engines might find that instead of fighting for 4th and 5th we might be able to stay with the front 3 instead. Fair play to kelvin and the msa for there hard work in getting this sorted.
