I am meeting with the major engine preparers next week to finalise the settings that will come into force on January 1st next year. There will be a period of grace into the new year to allow everyone to re-set their ignition timing, if needed. It is our intention to bring a degree of equalisation into play, but it really is too early to say how this will affect the relative performance of T1 & T2, or how this will affect Clubmans vs SP and the values of these engines. Sorry I can't be more helpful right now but I think it is a little foolish to try to anticipate the outcome, although I will say that the intent is to bring down the cost of these engines. I would not care to comment on how that might affect the value of existing engines.
