Please remember that Honda build these engines to power most of the equipment on building sites, from generators to water pumps ect.
Honda will not do anything about it, we don’t use the engine for what it was designed for.
They were first used for racing because there were a hell of a lot of them about & they were very cheep.
Chequebook racing is a part of racing, from grass-roots to F1, this is the cause of your frustration with the currant situation, money.
In the last 5 or 6 years I have been pro karting the times at my local tracks have come down by 1 to 2 seconds a lap, that’s a lot of time & a fare bit of it is more power from these engines, at a cost.
It’s a good time to be an engine builder – pounds in!!
The rule writers are doing their best to level the field, but can only do so much, the “cheque book” rules all.
