what chassis and engine do you run? t2 is much better for a novice than t1, and will also get faster in the long run, chassis wise, any project 1 is dad and son friendly, easy to set up, very forgiving for the driver,hard wearing, hard to bend, and hold their money well zip Honda lightening very good kart if you can get it right, brk seem to be doing well, but you will struggle to find one unless you buy new,,
personally, if you can afford it I would go project one chassis with an rpm T2 engine , which will serve you well from novice to super one front runner
