Hi all, first of all, i'd like to say sorry in advance if this is going to cause a big debate or if I'm asking a stupid question but i need some advice so here it goes.
Recently i have started competing in 4stroke endurance karting. Me and the team are really enjoying it but we have got to a point where i think we have reached the limit of what we can get out of our equipment and obviously we would like a bit more pace. We are consistently around 6 tenths off the fastest team in dry equal conditions.
In terms of engines we are using race prepared T1 UFO engines. They seems fairly decent, we noticed a decent gain after having them rebuilt by Richard but it is still clear we are losing a bit of time to other motors around on the grid.
The question is, do we try and source a decent pair of SP T1 engines, or would we be better off going and getting a new pair of T2 motors and getting them spec'd up to the regulations. I understand that in bog standard form the T2 has naturally more compression so surely this would be a better basis to work from?
Any help and advice is much appreciated, asking on here as want to gauge what people think in general about this situation.
Thank you in advance.
