Whats the drivers opinion of having a standing start as mensioned at the presentation by Dave(race organiser)? Most drivers I spoke to on the day seemed to be in favour of giving it a go. I personally think it would be safer (thats 2 experiences I've had that could have been nasty there) as the speed carried into the bottle neck effect at the esses would be less. It only causes a problem on the start due to the grid line up in pairs then getting squeezed pretty much into single file. I think its worth a try, it could always revert back if no good. Also I think it adds a new element to the race.
