Well arent people jumping the gun? Martin hasnt confirmed the tyre for Honda challenge yet, last year we were all talking about the fact it was going go be run on bridgestones, then suddenly we had to run dunlops. With the situation with the abkc i can see the same conclusion this year. So maybe it is better to wait and see what hc do? Obviously teesside are on yds and pf are too, but like gaz says its not the best thing to do, changing the tyre rite now, as it will c0ck it up for warden law regulars who have stocks of wets and slicks, particularly the hard to come by collection of inters! People are moaning of cost yet they want to change tyre which will cost us all. The last time i bought some YDK (WETS) i walked out of the shop in shock, iv just done a quick goole search and wets YDK bridgestones are 137 PLUS VAT!!!!!
That said ive done plenty of running on bridgestones during my days at PF , and recently done plenty of running on Dunlops Sl1s, and my personal opinion is that the Dunlop is a much nicer tyres to use, and drive, the variation in quality was 1second between white batch to purple batch. But this is the first time in many years am i not correct? Bridgestones however (when i used to run them) were an absolute joke, i threw numerous sets straight in the bin because they were so for off the pace, mainly due to different sizes on the rear creating a nightmare handling issue. This variation in quality changed monthly, as the batches changed. The more people and championships are on the same tyre the more tyres are imported, so there is a greater turnover of batches so the quality will change every month if not less, no batch is the same!!!!!
Dunlops all the way
