Why not amalgamate the two most recent threads here. If Honda Junior Prokart is able to make a comeback why not have buy-backs written into the rules from the offset that way keeping it a budget class and avoiding dads having to purchase SP engines to be competitive. Go back to the gx120's. When I raced in Junior Prokart in the late 90's - early 2000's it was agreat class, some really good drivers, not too expensive and good grids. Would be great to get back to that.
The reason it died was that when classes like Rotax and TKM 4 Stroke came along people thought that they were a cheaper alternative to TKM 2 stroke(!) (Which ironically is now considered a budget class!) that has proved to be far from the case and the lack of a suitable class has pushed those who want a cheaper, less complicate kart to race competitively away from karting. I think there is a place for it and if we could get a few decent grids others will join. If Martin were able to get a grid for Honda Challenge that would be great and I know Roger Sheffied at Formula 6 would love to have a return of the class.
