Perhaps you are right steven, nothings cheap in motorsport and maybe prokarts have now moved on from the budget class it was supposed to be and there's no way to bring it back. I think the biggest hit is the fact you are starting with a £200 engine which you then find is not good enough and you need £2000. If everyone who wants to race on a budget could race together with £200 motors, and those who want to be have the ultimate could race together with £2000 motors it would all be better. When you mix the 2 together it loses the original concept. I personally have no problem paying for some decent kit, but only within reason from the original intended price. These threads have tried to level the playing field on engines but maybe its gone too far and can't be done. But hay some say thats motorsport?
