Ok, fair point. The SP owners will always loose out though unfortunately, unless they run in their own format alongside a buyback or exchange rule. I'm not sure if when the buyback was first voiced originally that it was to run alongside the existing rules so, poeple not wanting to go down the SP engine route had a choice. Maybe Kelvin could clarify this. As I said in my suggestion though, how would it be easy for someone with a dog of an engine to exchange it for a top engine if they have had to race it all day and finish say within 5 places (this number could be anything) of folk running 1st class engines to use the exchange rule?
At least with the exchange rule, no one goes home without an engine. The sevice fee would be set at enough to cover a minor overhaul/service of the 'given' engine should it need it.
